  2. Our Road to Recovery Luncheon
    11:30 - 1:00
Safe, decent, affordable housing is what Habitat for Humanity is known for throughout the world. After 27 years here in Jefferson City, we have built or renovated over 109 homes. But sadly affordable housing has still been difficult to find in our town. Then on May 22, 2019, a tornado raged through our town and made the problem even worse. From the moments after the tornado, a new story began: Our Road to Recovery. And River City Habitat has been at the forefront of the issue, working with our community to figure out ways to rebuild and recover. Join us on Tuesday, September 24th at 11:30 am to continue the conversation and learn how Joplin, MO rebuilt after their tornado. Along with our keynote speaker Scott Clayton, the Executive Director of the Joplin Habitat for Humanity, we will have stories of hope from some of our local tornado survivors and recognition of those who have already been helping to make recovery possible in our community. Tickets are on sale now!
